Herbal Gum and Tooth powder recipes

My Favorite: Dr. Christopher’s Gum and Tooth Powder recipe

mortar-pestle-herbs

For severe cases place this powder combination between the lips and gums (up and lower) around entire tooth area and leave on all night, six nights a week (as well as brushing regularly) until improvement is evident. Then continue on with regular tooth brushing with this herbal food combination.

Ingredients:
3 parts oak bark
1 part oat straw
6 parts comfrey root
3 parts horsetail grass
one part lobelia
one part cloves
3 parts peppermint
(powdered stevia – optional)

Chose a measuring device like a tsp, tbs, tea cup, cup, bowl etc depending on how much herbs you have and how much formula you are making and combine them all into a bowl and then bottle it. I would buy cut and sifted herbs if you have a vitamix to powder them or maybe a mortar and pestle or hammer to crush them over powdered as the powdered lose the volatile herbs but you might want powdered. It is up to you I guess..then apply between gums and teeth and leave on overnight 6 days a week, one day off and then repeat. Also herbs work best if used 6 weeks on and one week off.

DIY Toothpaste recipe with baking soda and kaolin

The following recipe yields about 2oz of homemade toothpaste.

Ingredients:
4 tbsp of white Kaolin (soft white clay)
2 tbsp baking soda
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of coconut oil
2-4 drops of any of the following essential oils: clove, mint, sage, basil, sweet orange, cinnamon, myrrh (pick one)
4-5 tbsp of distilled water (or more if needed to make it into a paste)

Mix well, let it sit for a day and it’s ready to use.

Homemade Tooth & Gum Oil

For receding, rotting gums and teeth, diseased dental bone

Ingredients:
10 oz Echinacea Tincture
¼ cup Tea tree oil
4 oz Bayberry tincture
2 oz Oak Gall (or 3x oak bark) tincture
2 tbs Cayenne tincture
2.5 dropperfuls Peppermint oil
2.5 dropperfuls Clove oil

Shake well before use. Note: Dropperful = ½ way up the dropper. Use organic ingredients.

Apply directly to gums, or swish around the mouth with water (dropperful into 1 ounce of water). Twice a day at least.

Oil pulling after brushing

Take a tablespoonful of coconut or sesame seed oil and swish it around in your mouth for a few minutes after brushing. It relieves inflammation.
